Champagne Festival – Summer Place, Johannesburg
Could there be anything better in life, than an event focused solely on the pure enjoyment of life’s finest potion?
That’s right bubbly-lovers, the honour was ours yet again, to organise the 13th annual Champagne Festival. A highlight on South Africa’s elite social calendar, the festival promotes some of the most premium French Champagnes available, and always promises a lavish event that showcases the finest cuisine, décor, fashion and one heck-of-a party. One of the reasons for its success may well be that our gorgeous friend, Jo-Ann Strauss, played hostess to this sparkling occasion.
This was the 5th consecutive year in which The Aleit Group organised the prestigious event – and each year, all expectations are surpassed. Our catering division, Stir food, made their way from Cape Town to ensure a premier catering service that would resemble the matchless sophistication of such a swanky event.
The Aleit Group is synonymous with trendy and exceptional event décor, and had a ball with this year’s colour palette and theme. We worked with the pantone colour of the year – Radiant Orchid – which was complemented with shades of gold to enhance the overly luxurious look and feel. Black and white was incorporated to carry through a timeless opulent sophistication. We captured the art-deco sub-theme of the event by embodying a “floral-meets-art-meets-fashion” idea. Orchids were dangling daintily from ritzy golden clothing rails; wallpaper adorned coffee tables and botanical prints were mounted on make-shift walls. Check out the photos for more!
