Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2017

Our Founder & Chairman, Aleit Swanepoel, has just returned from Thailand, where he attended the Destination Wedding Planners Congress (visit DWP Congress www.destinationweddingcongress.com) as a special guest, the only event of its kind in the world.

The DWP Congress brings together a hand-picked selection of high end destination wedding planners under one roof to meet with a lavish spread of organisations who push the boundaries of industry excellence.

Strictly by invitation only, attendees are carefully selected from all corners of the world and represent the industry’s most well-known destination wedding planners, accomplished celebrity wedding planners and globally renowned wedding connoisseurs that proudly wave their country flag at this fantastic amalgamation of the destination wedding planning industry.

Highlights of the Event

What was really remarkable, was the caliber of guest speakers & panelists. Aleit was joined by likes of Aditya Motwane, Evelyn Mills, Monsieur Froonck, Michelle Rago, and the “Indian Wedding Decor King”, Sumant Jayakrishnan.

These panel discussions sparked conversation and debate and was a phenomenal platform to learn and engage with the world’s leaders in the wedding & events industry. Aleit spoke about pricing structure and in changing times and broached topics such as referral fees and service proffesionals.

He shared how the business (The Aleit Group) has evolved organically, mainly because of all South Africa has to offer, as one of the top destinations for high profile weddings and events. The Aleit Group now offers a host of subsidiary services, managed as separate business entities, yet held to the highest service expectations, as event partners and preferred service professionals.

Aleit’s personal highlight was listening to the pearls of wisdom as shared by Wendy El-Khoury, founder of Wedded Wonderland. Wendy is one of the most prevalent influencers in the global wedding industry world and she shared her insights on how social media plays such a huge role in marketing one’s brand. And then of course, meeting the style guru and icon, Preston Bailey.

Even celebrated his 78th birthday with him, during the gala dinner event.  What an honour…

From an event perspective, it was probably the most O.T.T. event Aleit has ever attended, NO expense was spared! Every attention to detail was meticulously executed, with such effortless service. Aleit shares his experience with us, ““What an experience? Interesting how Thai and The Middle-East married in such a splendor fashion.

I could not imagine the service standard and the remarkable interaction.  Scheme, design, augmentation – cuisine, and the spoils for all delegates. World-class is an understatement.  I want to experience it all over again!”

That being said, Aleit is very proud of the exceptional standard The Aleit Group and other coordination companies within South Africa set, in the local weddings & events industry.

How we serve wine, attention to detail with regards to linear perfection, magnificent floral installations, our creativity, but most importantly, how we strive, every day, to be the BEST! Hat off to South Africa and out high standard within the event and hospitality industry.

Next year, the event will be hosted in Mexico, and hopefully it would be another spectacular experience, according to the high standards to DWP.
