One Fine Day: Philisiwe & Sam’s Wedding
In the spirit of all things lovely and seriously wonderful, we’d like to share with you a wedding that we had the honour to coordinate. Well, wedding coordination is such an inapt description, because this experience was so much more than anything that could even remotely fall into the parameters of work.
We loved every second of Philisiwe and Sam’s Johannesburg wedding, which was hosted at the Inanda Polo Club in Sandton – a regally sophisticated wedding and event venue with a sigh-worthy view.
The reception area featured white flowers in abundance as our blustery bride requested lushness…and plenty of it. The result of her wish was of an “oh-wow” inducing nature. Any platform that was not intended as a seat was adorned with lavish floral arrangements in shades of white, consisting of imported hydrangeas, roses, tulips and more. Delicate Phalaenopsis- and exotic orchids dangled daintily from the rich arrangements and, as an added stamp of extravagance, crystal chandeliers were balanced on tall cylinder vases and displayed amidst the floral décor.
While half the guests were seated at long banquet style tables, the rest enjoyed their dinner as if in the comfort of a living room. The décor team placed six luxurious lounge areas throughout the room, which made the event space voguishly comfortable.
Fancying up for her big day, Philisiwe wore a drop-dead-gorge Pronovias gown, with Jimmy Choo’s embellishing her feet. We reckon it’s a good-old time to be jealous for a bit.
Photo time…Oh, gentle warning: A lot of aww-ing is about to ensue:
