“No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.” What a cool and fearsome declaration. At The Aleit Academy we believe in encouraging, above all else, the power of an idea. The Aleit Academy is South Africa’s leading specialised training programme for the events industry.
Presented in partnership with The Aleit Group, The Aleit Academy is a private tertiary institution offering a three-year diploma course, which is fully registered and accredited by *CATHSSETA. The comprehensive curriculum equips ambitious, young event managers to become qualified and savvy professionals in the industry.
* CATHSSETA Accreditation number: 613/P/000249/2014
The Diploma Course is presented as a combination qualification that incorporates all the different facets of the industry, including Event Management & Planning, Hospitality Management and Practical training.
The intensive course has an equal focus on academic and practical training, consisting of three years of full time study on a brand new campus on Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West.
In the international arena of events, seminars, conventions and conferences, the demand for qualified staff with specialist skills in particular areas, has increased phenomenally. For this reason The Aleit Group took upon them the rewarding duty of cultivating new growth and talent in the events industry.
The inclusive and detailed approach allows students to discover their niche and area of expertise even before heading into the field. As it stands, many of our alumni are employed at the Aleit Group as well as many other prominent creative businesses – running in heals and climbing that corporate ladder.
Put your your farmer-meets-urbane-artisan caps on and head to the Lourensford Harvest Market on Sundays from 10h00 to 15h00. We have regular themes to ensure never a dull moment, and with about 77 stall spaces all filled with some pretty amazing vendors, you’d be able to fill your basket to the brim.
We pride ourselves on a vast variety of fresh produce and a wonderful array of craft and art stalls to browse through. And what’s more – we are smack-bam in about THE prettiest location around: Lourensford Wine Estate – the beautiful setting being a stress-reliever in itself.
Bring the bambino’s along and rest assured, whilst the grownups are shopping their hearts out, the little ones can enjoy all the fun and antics of our specialised children programs running every week. And yes, please bring your four-legged ones or bicycles – they are all welcome!
